Let’s face it, I drink beer, few special drinks, and I have develop an obsession with photography of glasses of beers , wine, and mix drinks. Recently I have started to photograph food too but, that is the subject for another post. But, let me tell you, it is not every drink, glass or bottle of beer, there have to be some special conditions, especially the way the light hit the glass, the direction and quality of light are very important. Also, the color of the glass, the color of the liquid and its consistency, and the temperature, specially a cold drink in a summer hot patio, give some magic results. And, let’s not forget the application you end up using to process the photo. The application and your imagination will help with the end result. I usually use Snapseed, ColorStrokes, Pictwo, Painteresque, Diptic, Aviary, Hipstamatic, and PhotoStudio among few others. Thes apps are fantastic and can help you create some cool shots.
I have been fortunate to have my iPhone and/or iPad with me when these combinations find me at a local bar, in a patio or in a deck. As soon as I see the shot in my mind, and knowing which application immediately the creation process start. Sometimes I take a photo and with 5 minutes, I have the final shot out posted in my Facebook or Instagram accounts, and still managed to have a nice afternoon among friends! if the shot, is taken with my DSLR, then, a flash drive adapter for my iPad becomes very handy, that little device is all the time with me, specially if I am carrying my DSLR Camera.
